All consuming…
Life is already complicated.
Feeling overwhelmed has sent you looking for a counselor. It’s tough to find one right now.
Juggling work, family, a partner or partners, friends, responsibilities–on top of being queer and/or trans or non-binary and/or autistic and/or ADHD. Things can get challenging navigating it all.
Appearance shows you trying to keep things seeming status quo – but inside… things are tricky to untangle. You’re looking for a place to unload, a place to receive support for the life that is filled with stress, difficulty, and maybe even crisis right now.
Daydreams of who you wish you could be or the things you wish you could get done are common. There is always so much to do and everything seems like utter chaos sometimes.
Some people describe feeling panic, anxiety, depression and struggling to combat intrusive thoughts. Some people also struggle with some additional complex trauma or dissociation that adds to the challenges of navigating in they way we dream for ourself.
Is this how it is going to be forever? It doesn’t have to be. Therapy is an option, which is maybe why you are here. Sometimes therapy can be a great resource in becoming the person you imagine for yourself. Your authentic self.
Can you relate?
Perhaps you have been with your wife for years now and can’t seem to shake the idea that you want to be intimate with men. You want to explore opening up the relationship.
Perhaps you wake up every morning wishing to have a more masculine body; the anxiety of what this might mean is crippling. You are doing poorly at work and are isolating from friends. You want to explore gender transion.
Perhaps you were excited to be seeing progress from gender affirming hormones, but after coming out to your conservative family this winter you have decided it is unsafe to continue being in contact with them. You want to process grief and loss of your family as a trans person.
Perhaps you grew up in an abusive household and have been jumping from one crisis to another for years. You are exhausted and hopeless that things will change. You want to process complex trauma with EMDR and talk therapy.
Perhaps you just got fired from your job because you can’t keep organized. Everything in your life is in chaos, clutter, disarray, a total mess. The stress and anxiety that you are feeling is out of bounds. You want to organize your life and feel in control.
100% authentic…
Imagine for a moment that you could live that dream life. The one where you are 100% your authentic self, all the time, without all that intense anxiety and fear.
How about feeling confident in your body and mind where the status quo is congruent, euphoric, or even just average?
With therapy, it is possible to untangle the garbled words and have a space to talk out the “unsayable.”
The support you can get in counseling.
Our deepest thoughts and feelings are tough to sort out on your own. Many of us were not taught how to talk about feeling or taught how to regulate strong emotions when they come up. Sometimes our thoughts can get all tangled up and this can become overwhelming and agitating or we might shut down.
In counseling, using the therapeutic relationship, it is possible for you to develop the language to express how you think and feel about our experiences; as well as, how our experiences are a part of the systems in your life.
Whether you have been out as queer and/or trans or non-binary for years or are exploring your options, it doesn’t matter the label the use. You deserve to have the authentic live you dream of for yourself and will be met with the space to explore how you think and feel.
Because you are total person while multilayers, what ever brings you to therapy, you are in the drivers seat and determine what the goals are for your time. No topic is off limits.
What I provide.
Hi, I’m Kassondra, I use she/her pronouns. As a queer-AuDHD-identified person it is only natural to support my community. I have been providing therapy to queer people since 2014 and my work is one of my deepest passions.
People describe me as very relational, I focus on what goes on in the moment and put an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship by utilizing attachment based perspectives. I also use modalities such as family systems, DBT, and EMDR.
I am a casual person, a cat or dog is often with me, it’s okay to curse, and humor is always welcome.
Our meetings will be over telehealth at the same time every week. The only two requirements are you must be 18 years and older and live/be in Washington State.
Queer and trans people face greater systemic barriers which is why I think it is important to be an in network provider with several insurance carriers: Premera, Lifewise, Regence, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Kaiser PPO, Kaiser HMO, and First Choice.
It’s okay to receive support, you deserve it.
No matter where you are at on your mental health journey you deserve to have the life you imagine for yourself.
